Pam is a Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist with nearly 20 years’ NHS experience. Inspired by Pilates’ impact on her own back pain, she trained as an instructor and now combines her clinical expertise with Pilates to support strength, mobility, and confidence. She’s delighted to be part of the Phoenix Physio Team.
Since graduating from Brunel University in 2005, she has dedicated her career to supporting people with lung conditions and breathing pattern disorders, delivering both tailored treatments and group rehabilitation classes to help clients reach their full potential.
Her interest in Pilates began as a personal solution for managing intermittent back pain. Experiencing its benefits firsthand inspired Pam to complete her Pilates instructor training, allowing her to blend her physiotherapy expertise with the principles of Pilates.
Today, Pam teaches Pilates as a natural extension of her clinical work, helping clients improve strength, mobility, and confidence. She is delighted to be part of the Phoenix Physio Team, where she shares her passion for movement and the life-changing benefits of Pilates.

Sarah is a third-year Physiotherapy student at Oxford Brookes University, with a strong passion for movement, rehabilitation, and Pilates-based exercise. During her studies, she has gained valuable placement experience in private musculoskeletal physiotherapy settings, where Pilates principles were integrated throughout rehabilitation programmes.
A former GB ski racer, Sarah spent much of her youth on the slopes before three knee surgeries led her to shift her focus from competition to recovery. It was through her own rehabilitation that she first experienced the power of Pilates — her physiotherapist incorporated Pilates-based exercises in her rehab to rebuild her strength, balance, and confidence.
Since then, she has been practising Pilates and yoga for over five years, developing a deep appreciation for how mindful movement can support both physical and mental well-being. Now studying physiotherapy, she is driven to enhance her own skills and help others experience the same benefits that Pilates brought to her recovery.
